Lintels Between 3000mm - 4000mm Long

Spans in the 3000mm to 4000mm range require serious structural performance. These are typically used for wide sliding patio doors and single-car garage openings. At Vincent Buda and Company, we provide heavy-duty T-Bars that are engineered to carry significant masonry loads across these wider spans. Every piece is Hot-Dip Galvanised (R3), which is essential for these larger members that are more exposed to the elements and moisture within the wall cavity. Since 1957, we’ve been the trusted partner for builders managing these critical structural spans. We understand that once these beams are in place, the house can truly take shape; that’s why we offer same-day or next-day delivery within the Sydney Metro on our entire 3m to 4m inventory.

    Four Primary Applications for 3000mm - 4000mm:

Wide Sliding Glass Doors: Supporting high-load openings for modern alfresco transitions.
Single Garage Entries: The standard structural support for 2.4m to 3m garage doors.
Commercial Shopfronts: Providing structural masonry support over retail window spans.
High-Load Interior Headers: Supporting masonry over wide open-plan kitchen and living areas.

Why choose our 3m to 4m lintels?

High Load Capacity: Engineered profiles that meet strict deflection limits for wide spans.
Life-Long Protection: R3 galvanised to ensure the steel never rusts or stains your home.
Trade Spec: Straight, professional-grade steel that bricklayers can trust.
Fast Delivery: We ship orders out the same day or next day within Sydney Metro to keep your job moving.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Usually, no, a Hot Rolled Angle is required. At this span, a simple angle bar will likely not carry the required load. You need the structural capability of a Hot Rolled Angle to carry the brickwork safely.
We recommend at least 150mm. As the span and load increase, the bearing area should be sufficient to prevent the bricks below from crushing or cracking. Ensure to check with your engineer for your orders.
It is recommended but not always necessary. A 4-metre structural T-Bar is heavy. Using a mechanical lift or crane ensures a safe and precise installation on your mortar bed.
