Shop Lintels by Length

15 products

Getting the right length is the most important step in selecting a lintel. To make your project easier, Vincent Buda and Company allows you to shop our entire lintel range by Length. Whether you need a small 900mm angle for a bathroom window or a massive 6000mm T-Bar for a triple garage, we have categorised our stock to help you find the right fit instantly. Remember as a general rule of thumb to always include at least 150mm of "bearing" on each side of your opening when choosing a length. Our entire range is either Hot-Dip Galvanised Steel (R3) or Precast Concrete (R4) and made to Australian Standards. Since 1957, we have supported builders with off-the-shelf lengths that save you time and labour on-site. Every length we list is in stock and ready for same-day or next-day delivery within the Sydney Metro.

    Four Primary Length Groups:

Under 1000mm: Small bathroom and toilet window lintels.
1000mm - 3000mm: Standard residential window and doorway headers.
3000mm - 5000mm: Large sliding doors and single garage entries.
    5000mm - 6000mm: Heavy-duty double and triple garage T-Bars and angle bars.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Opening width + 300mm is a general rule of thumb. This allows for the required 150mm bearing on each side. For example, a 1.5m window needs a 1.8m lintel to be structurally safe. You should always double-check with an engineer if you are unsure.
We stock T-Bars up to 6.3 metres. No matter the span of your opening, Vincent Buda and Company has a solution ready to go.
Yes. The most common solution is to purchase the next standard size up and trim it to suit on-site. Steel lintels can be cut down as required, or we can cut them for you prior to dispatch — please allow a small lead time if you would like us to process the cut before delivery.
We offer same-day or next-day delivery within the Sydney Metro. Vincent Buda and Company uses specialised trucks to deliver even the longest lintels directly to your residential or commercial site.
