Window Lintels

Brickwork above openings creates concentrated loads that must be transferred into adjacent masonry. Incorrect lintel specification leads to cracking, deflection, and non-compliant construction. Steel and concrete lintels provide the structural capacity required to maintain continuity and distribute masonry loads correctly.

We supply R3 hot-dip galvanised steel angle lintels and precast concrete lintels for residential and commercial masonry. Steel lintels are suited to all brickwork applications, including double brick, face brick, cavity, and rendered construction. Concrete lintels can be used in single or double brick walls where concealed by render or plasterboard. They are not suitable for exposed face brick applications. Selection must align with span, wall type, and imposed loads in accordance with AS2699.3 and AS3700.

Standard residential span lengths are stocked to support efficient installation. Sydney Metro orders are dispatched same or next business day on stocked sizes.

Established 1957, we supply compliant structural products to Australian builders. Designed to perform where it matters most.

    Four Primary Applications

Standard Residential Windows: Supporting brickwork above the opening using a suitable lintel profile appropriate to wall type and imposed loads.
Rendered Openings: Supporting brickwork above windows and doors in rendered walls using steel or concealed concrete lintels suited to finish conditions.
Open Floor Plan Living Areas: Supporting brickwork above extended openings in load-bearing external walls where larger spans increase imposed masonry loads.
Architectural & High-Level Windows: Supporting masonry above feature openings while accommodating wide-span configurations common in open plan living designs.
